round one

I'm a child at heart. No matter who's watching me, I love to have fun. My dad once told me "Stephanie, sometimes, we're in public." Though this phrase became a joke to me.
(intertextuality--people know patty cake to be a child's game)

Piano is the one thing that can calm me down when I am angry, upset, stressed or nervous. I have been playing piano for ten years and adore the sound of a finely tuned grand piano beneath my fingers. My favorite music to play is music that creates chaos in my fingertips. Classical music is pretty and calming, however, I love music that builds and causes my hands to fly up and down the keyboard.

I absolutely love to laugh and I'm quite possibly the most ticklish person you'll ever meet. My favorite feeling is when I lose control of my laughter and make ridiculous noises laughing until I can't even open my eyes.

I'm vertically challenged. Often times my feet don't even touch the floor when I sit down. As I said, I love to cook. However, in my kitchen at home I have a Little Tikes "cooking stool" that I had to use when I was little because I couldn't reach the stove. I'm now 19 years old...I still use the cooking stool.

My friends all refer to me as "bubbly" because I'm a very enthusiastic person and I'm almost always smiling.

I love to bake. Once I get my teaching certificate and teach for a few years I will probably go to culinary school. But until then I enjoy filling my kitchen with all the necessary supplies to cook whatever I want, whenever I want.

Brain Food. I love food, I try to eat healthy but as you can see, it doesn't always happen.
(intertextuality--junk food!)

"a life without music is a life wasted"
I have been in choir since second grade. I have played piano for ten years. I'm learning to play guitar. I love music and while I am no longer a music student at Carthage, I'm still dedicated to music and love it just the same.
(intertextuality--the quote)

I'm a perfectionist; especially when it comes to music. This song became my life between my senior year of high school and my freshman year of college. I sang it for my senior choir show as well as one of my first music classes my freshman year. It's called "I can do better than that" and the lyrics motivate me in everything I do.
(intertextuality--music)

I like to make my friends happy, especially with food I make.

Lifeguarding: my job, my religion, my life. I have been a lifeguard for three years and I practically live at the pool. It's an indoor pool so it's open year-round. I swam on the swim team there in high school and I teach class, private and parent-tot swim lessons as well as water aerobics in addition to lifeguarding. I am proud to be an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard.
(responsive chord--red cross/lifeguard symbol)

I love to be daring and adventurous. My brother and my boyfriend and I love to go hiking, swimming and jet skiing at Starved Rock State Park where we live. And when we don't feel like going all the way to the park, we just jump off of the roof of my house into the pool!

nurturing :) This is my cousin Lukas and one of my favorite people. I love children and can't wait to have a family someday.
